I just got mine today and test fit them without a tire on. I have about 1/8" clearance between the rim and spindle so I imagine I am good there, but I can't fathom how a tire will fit without hitting the upper ball joint.
Anyone run into this problem? How did you fix it, just run a spacer? Did that make the wheel stick out too much?
Thanks!

What size tire you goin with? I run 275's, no spacer, no problem. I tested 295's up front too and it was ok. If you are lowered and run a spacer, it shouldn't stick out past the fender.

When you were test fitting the rim only, was the suspension hanging or did you lower the car down like it would be sitting on the ground by blocking up the wheel? I ask this because when the suspension is hanging, that is when the wheel is it's closest to the spindle. when you set the catr down the wheel raises up, and you can see by the contour of the spindle, that you will have more room. I am running 285/35/18's up front with a 5/16" spacer, but the spacer is to get the wheels fluch with the fender, and the tire shop was paranoid about clearing. I am removing the spacers this winter to see if i like the tucked look on the wheels, and leave it. Clearance shouldn't be a problem.

I was thinking I'd run a 285/35 on the front. I tried to jack the suspension back up into place but it started lifting the car of the jack stands before I felt the suspension was all the way in place.
I'm going to be installing lowering springs here anyway so maybe I'll try it again without any spring/shock in it.

I have the spring out and the suspension jacked up to simulate it being on the ground. It still looks like it is going to be close. I assume the tire will pull in a little at the top and that should help, but it looks like I'll probably have to run a small spacer.

Mine isn't bad at all. This was a big concern of mine when I decided to go with this set up. This is one reason that I went with a narrower tire up frt-275. I had an older camaro with 245's up frt which tramlined like son of a bitch. I'm curious to know others experience as well.
