Tried doing some moching up tonight can already tell some cutting is gonna be in the near future. Anyone else out here try running these?

 

if ur talkin about camaro/firebird then yes i run a 315 40 michelin pilotin the rear with c6 5 spokes all i needed was a 1 1/8" thick spacer the one i got is a topline part # 54755475 solid aluminum bold on spacer with studs pressed into it and the wheel bolts to that no cutting or anything i still have 1/8th inch gap betwene the bump stop bracket

 

1.25" 5x4.75 adapter/spacer and 275/30/19 or 285/30/19 tires will fit F-Bodies with no rubbing or cutting required with the stock C6 19x10 OEM rim w/79mm offset...been there, done that, ride was too rough, and I'm back on 18" rims...

I ran 19's with Konis all around and lowered on LG springs
and the ride was not bad.

 

At the time I ran the 19's, I was on an Eibach Pro-kit, so that may have had something to do with my ride issues, but I also couldn't get traction with a 30 series tire. Combine no traction with a bad ride (very little sidewall on 30 series tire) and that made a believer out of me that an 18" rim is really the largest you should go on 4th Gen. F-Bodies.

I'm on 18" rims now with Strano/Koni set-up and couldn't be happier now!

Just gunna add something, not trying to hijack, just got 18s and 19's, 1.25 spacer also, but I dont like the way the car sits, so I'm being told that if I drop the car I need to roll the rear fenders?

 

97 firebird whoever told you that is correct, dont really know what setup you have but that is pretty much a must for these cars when lowering and 18 or 19 rear with a decent size tire

 

Thanks for your opinion, I have been hearing however that an Adjustable Panhard Bar would do the trick as opposed to rolling the fenders, anyone try that and have sucesss?

 

Mine isn't rolled, nor a adj phnrd bar & is Lowered 1.25" . Doesn't rub

 

It depends on what size tire you run on 18's or 19's. I currently run 275/35/18 tires on 18x9.5 rims and I have no issues and when I had 19's I ran 275/30/19 tires on a 19x10 rim and again had no issues. I'm lowered 1.25" and my fenders are NOT rolled. Bottom line is as long as you stay with the same overall height (25.6") that the stock tires were and a 275 width tire, you shouldn't have any problems ...some guys can even run 285 or 295 width tire without rolling as long as the rim's offset is correct.

 

I am running an 18 and 19 setup, just looked at my tires and I'm about to **** a brick thinking about replacing them, 225/50/18 up front, and 285/35/19 in the back......think itll fit? I bought these from a guy on here and they looked good on his car, it just wasnt lowered.....

What if I don't want to use a spacer what do I do cuz I just bought some c6 wheels and tires for my trans am

 

Running 19x10s c6 z06 deepbdish on an 02 camaro. The only thing I had to do was add 5/16 * 7.95 mm spacer to correct the offset (65 mm), with 305-30-19. There was no need for longer studs.
Fronts are 18x10.5 with 295-30-18

 

I've heard that spacers can make ur studs weak and possibly snak coming off the line. So what should I do if I don't want to use spacers its 18x9.5 front and 19x10.5 in rear with front 245/40r18 and 275/40zr19 in rear

 

Why would you want to do a 275 with a 10.5 wide wheel?

 

agreed. 10.5 is to wide for a 275. it may fit but it will look rediculous

I just purchase some c6 replicas with 19x10 in the back with +65 offset for my 98 Trans Am, what tires should I get to avoid rubbing? Also, will I need a spacer?
