Tire options
Ok guys i need some opinions on what rear tires to go with now. I have some 315 35 17 suckahomos on the car now but since there not as cheap as they used to be i might be intrested in other tire options. I have 17x11 zr1s and looking for a good tire that is good in rain also that hooks decent. I would like to keep it around the 315 size. Also where are most of you guys buying your tires?

If you got the money i heard the bf egale f1 315/35/17 are great and hook. I have some pirelli 315/35/18 street tires but theu stopped making them they hooked up like a **** and you could go 75 down the road while it was pouring no prob

i agree nitto is a very good tire for the price, i got caught in the rain a few times with my drs and they were fine,by no means would i tell anyone a drag tire is good in the rain , but the tread pattern does help get water out, i would look into what dr.tran said, i heard alot of good things about the invo's

Here you go. This tire won't last real long though due to only having 7/32's tread starring life. But it will hook pretty good for a street tire, and its decent in the rain.

^^So these are the best nittos to get?
What about these?

Or these?

Want to get the best option for rain and still somewhat hook. If it gets 10,000 miles that is still better than the 6,000 i got on the sukahomos.

Car makes around 410rwhp through a 9in and pretty much full suspension. It gets driven once or twice a week and want to make some passes at the track once and awhile. I used to run slicks at the track when the car had some spray on it and a diffrent cam.Im mostly concerned about driving in the rain but the sukahomos dont drive to great in the rain either

And you don't want to break the bank on a set of tires LOL, is your car an a4 or m6? If your wanting another cheaper set I would try the 555's out. Or if you want a dr go with the 555r's if your on a budget. the nt05's are about the best all around combination though. But it does come with a price.

I'd run a 555r if I were you. They will hook well, are cheap, and will be half decent in the rain.
Buying tires is always a compromise. Try and minimize the negatives.
If you want to hook, buy a DR or something with a really low treadware. Don't drive like an idiot in the rain.

I'd say get Nitto INVO's or Bridgestone Potenza's. Neither are nothing to brag about on the track or for dry day's but I'd say for the price these tires are damn near perfect when it comes to balancing wet/dry traction. I think you should be fine with NT555's, possibly the NT555r's. The 555's will be better in the rain than the 555r's though. Out of all the tires I mentioned, I *highly recommend the Potenza's. Whatever you do, stay away from NT05r's for the rain... bet it's a nightmare, I run NT05's and they aren't very comforting in the rain.

Well... couldn't find INVO's in a 315. However the NT555's come in a 315:

Still a very solid choice form what I've heard and what everyone else ^ is saying.
