Default Fikse or iForge

Can I get a quick set of opinions about what wheels to use on a white TA? Windows are dark.

Was thinking Fikse or iForge.

Both look great. Fikse has been around longer and has more proven customer service. I've been very happy with Forgeline too.

I'd go with Fikse without a doubt . I've heard some horror stories about wait, quality, and customer service issues at Iforged. That alone is enough to keep me personally from spending a dime with them.

Fikse wheels are awesome, I think chrome/polished FM5s or FM10s would look great. I do like the black anodized center w/ polished lip on the FM5s though, they would look killer on your car.

iForged are nicer looking wheels in person. I sure wish Fikse would get rid of the old technology stepped lips and go with the soft lip (no humps) style like HRE or iForged.

Im with Tony on that one..... having owned a set of iForged wheels i know all about the wait........ I waited 16 weeks for my wheels and they were paid in full the whole time...... They run about the same in price unless you wanted full polished barrles like i did.... but there worth it........ if you can wait go with iForged not alot of cars have them and the Areo (5 Spoke) and flux (6 spoke) would look awsome..... These are 18X9 up front and 18X10 out back. Running a 275/35 up front and a 295/35 out back.... had to masage inner fender lip some......
Time for some pics....

polished barrle....

I like the Fikse's and the Baller tire place I go to for tire changes (only place in town that Fikse recommends) Say they are pretty much hella bad ***. They sell everything including simmons and HRE's. Plus Fikse Customer service is BEYOND excellent. I though my rim was bent and they did EVERYTHING they could to make it right. Turned out it was the tire the rim was well within specs. Even sent me a free tube of polish and new cap seals for all four rims.

FM10's look sweet on WS6's if your looking for the "classy" look. Around here though there are not many FM5's I see the 10's on M3's everyonce in awhile.

The Iforged are sweet I just don't like the rivets. How bout those new BC those are sweet and cost alot less!! Pic

As much as I love Fikses the stepped rim just kills me. Their wheels always look like they use the center section from the 1" smaller size. If they had a flat hoop like iForged, HRE, etc., I'd buy FM/10's or Mach V's in a heartbeat. It surprises me that they haven't "updated" their look yet. Of course, I sent them an email many years ago with the suggestion of making billet motorcycle wheels and they pretty much laughed at me, so what do I know...

As it is I'll be going for a set of the Boyds/BC wheels next month - price is hard to beat too. Here's my thread on the subject if interested: https://ls1tech.com/forums/wheels-tires/148530-bc-forged.html

BTW, iForged told me that they can make any of their forged designs without the rivets.

Damn alot of Fikse haters I don't think I'd change a thing in my opinion. But maybe I'm just old school. I love the lip on my rear. I think the centers are perfect. Plus they are light as hell. It's all an opinion

The difference between "soft" lips and stepped lips is that the actual face of a soft lip wheel is a bigger diameter. I have 17s on my '69 Camaro, but with the soft lips the faces look like 18s. Most people think they are 18s. Fikse still uses the old fashioned stepped lip, therefore a smaller diameter face.

Notice how the face of a Fikse wheel does not go all the way out to the diameter of the outer ring? http://www.fikse.com/fm5.html

Notice how the face of this iForged wheel goes all the way out, with no "hump/step" on the lip: http://www.itlxlr8.homestead.com/files/18.JPG

If you look closely on the iForged wheel, the hump is in the backside of the wheel, allowing for a larger front face to be used. They look BIGGER

Size isn't everything you know

Again everything you said in favor or iforged is the reason I like the Fikse's I just should have gotten 18's

18" fikses look like crap IMHO, they use the same small centers as the 17s and just have a BIGGER step on the lip. Yuck

I think it comes from growing up in the 80's I used to think that the "Saw blade" rims were the ultimate. Like in that Porshe movie "No Mans Land" with the blue 3rd gen on the rims with the holes I wanted those SO BAD for my 84 Z28 Maybe I just am slow to the cool stuff

no excuses! I grew up in the '80s also and I also loved those directional "saw blade" wheels back then. Of course, they look like sheeeit now

Hell, I even liked Prime 5-stars that stuck out of the fenders on lowered trucks back then too. I should go shoot myself

I used to have a lowered Nissan truck back in the day with 15x8" Hammers.
It was clean.

The reason's above is exactly why I did not get Fikse. I know the quality is superior, but I was not too impressed with the looks. I thought I was the only one who thought the center makes these wheels look like they and an 1" or so smaller than they really are.
