Default Had my WS6 wheels widened!

Just had to gloat a bit... 10.5" wide now! Crappy cell pic...

Weldcraft did the work and they did an awesome job. Cleaned up some curb rash for me too, just need to polish that out.

I'll be running 275/40's in front and 315/35's out back. Probably go with NT05's, and I need to order spacers for the rear. I'll try a 1" spacer first, from my initial measurements that should get me pretty close to where I need to be.

It'll be a while, doing this as part of a winter build which includes a full Tony Mamo top end package, so that's eating up just "a little" of my time. Haha...

Cost was $460 shipped back to me, cost $40 to ship to them so $500 even. Like everything else in life, pricey but you get what you pay for.

Doesn't necessarily need to be 1", but the wheels get widened to the inside so you definitely need to run a spacer...

Before I sent them off I measured the distance from the rim to the bump stop and I got about an inch on both sides. Running a one inch spacer will reduce that space to 1/2" with the "new" rims.

Not cheap, but not that bad either. If you were to buy aftermarke 17x10.5 rear wheels, you'd have to get a matching set for the front, and that would put you over 500 bucks. Plus the might not look as nice or be of the same quality as the WS6's. Plus, if you really like the look of them, it sounds like money well spent.

That's exactly it. I LOVE the look, just hate the way the rears are tucked so far in under the fenders. I could have gone with just the spacers and 275's but I know I would have hated leaving the room for more rubber.

Bingo brother. You get what you pay for. Actually, I think 500 bucks is a great price for that work including the shipping.

I agree. Think of the labor and the cost of the specialized equipment needed to pull off this kind of work. A ginormous lathe or bandsaw (or whatever they use to cut the inner part of the rim off), making the spacer ring and V-grooving for weld prep, then tig welding both the inside and outside, plus all the jigs needed to hold everything true while it's welded...

That's a LOT of work.

That's gonna look great. What size spacer would I need to get my stock ws6 wheels flush with the rear fender?

A 1" spacer will work just fine, but you may be able to run a 3/4" if you want them to tuck under a little more.

My wheels are 11" wide, and Im running a 1" lug-centric adapter.

Not trying to hijack the thread but heres mine with NT555s

NT555R in 315/35

NT555 in 315/35

NV, your thread, pics, and replies on the subject were a big part of my deciding to do this. There's some info around, but not a lot. Maybe we could consolidate and make a sticky. Thanks for posting!
