Default Opinions....Pictures???....

I'm talking about OE Wheels.

Anything negative about going 18 x 10.5 rim rears. And 17 x 9.5 rims front.

Handling?

Looks?

Can tire profiles be the same?

I plan on 325/335 tires in the rear and 275 front.

The front tires will fit just fine.

Are you still going with 18" C5 DD in chrome? If so why not 18s all around? On an 18x9.5 wheel a 275/35 tire fits perfect. You might have a little stretch with running a 335 tire on a 10.5" wide wheel though. Not sure what sidewalls those bad boys come in either..

I thought there was only a 18x10.5 , didnt know they made a x9.5, i would do 18s all around, but thats if they have a 9inch wide 18, 17s in the front dont look bad at all i just vote 18s on all corners

personally i like the 17/18 combo (thats why i did it) but that 325/335 rear might be a stretch. 1) on a 10.5 wide wheel 2) Rubbing issues, unless you have a plan for that, and we dont know about it? But to each there own.

OE Wheels does not offer an 18 x 9.5 in the wheel I want "C5 DD Gunmetal w/polished lip"....only 18 x 10.5 and 17 x 9.5.

So I would need 17 x 9.5 in front.

Just today I made the decision to buy 4 rims.....then I'll buy 2 extra rear 18 x 10.5's.

I will widen one set of rears to 18 x 12 and use 345 tires on them for dry days and fun time.

On the other set maybe I'll just keep 315's or 325's.

I'm doing a 408 + 94mm, goal is 1,200 RWHP......so we are doing a mini-tub in the rear.

Oh...correct me if I'm wrong........but with the 18 x 10.5 OE Wheel......is the extra 1.5 inches of rim width ALL on the inside of the rim?

So as far as the rim/tire sticking out from the body more than stock rims do.....it will not stick out any more?

It was me.......but I think my bright red car with the charcoal grey CETA paint would look good with the Gunmetal color and polished lip. I'm thinking of chrome plating my brake caliper brackets and painting my calipers gunmetal.

Thinking too much chrome with the full chrome C5 DD. And everyones got them now in full chrome.

I like these:

Ya chrome is the most popular for sure. If I had a red or white TA I would get 18s and powdercoat them gloss black. Sand down that vette logo on the caps and call it a day. It wouldnt mesh well with the ceta you have though. The only opinion that counts is your own, just pick carefully..

OE said the Vette emblem is embossed into the center cap....so I'd have to fill it in and repaint it gunmetal......don't know if they could get it to match the rest of the 5 spokes in gunmetal.
