pics of cragars wanted
I like cragar wheels and from what i've seen they aren't too expensive. Not as many people have them so my car would be more original too. I haven't seen em on a car so if you have some pics post em.

This is a friend of mine's 1999 Hugger Orange Z/28 with 17X9 Chrome Aluminum one piece Cragar wheels on it.

Pics of my father's HOTROD Camaro. More pics in sig on page 8.
Though not my first choice they are a very nice wheel that is ultra easy to care for with the chrome plating. (great for a daily driver) The offsets give 17 x 9's have an aggressive stance but they are kind of heavy wheels.

This is significantly more than he paid for them about a year ago though. Maybe he'll chime in with the name of the seller he bought them from.

I love those rims! I dug around the net a little and found out the 17x9's are running about 25lbs. Would there be a noticable performace loss over the stock wheels? I've read two different weights for stock chrome SS 10 spokes. SLP lists them at 21lbs. and I've read others listing them at 23lbs. Performance hit or not, those Cragars are hot!

now those are diffrent then the ones on the ZL1 cars and that "Hot Rod" car. The ones you posted are the exact same as a mustang oe bullet rim. The cragers on the special Ed. cars have a smooth lip to the edge, the ones you posted are not.Instead they have a step up from the egde of the wheel to the spokes.

They're 18's that's why the lips different, They do have a smooth lip where it flattens out, just kinda hard to see it in the pic. He got rid of the mustang wheels to get these. They came with crager center caps too, I'd think that would be some kind of copyright infringement if they're not cragars. You can see it a little better in this pic.

hmm didnt know 18's would be the reason for the flat lip. The special Edition cars have a pure flat lip from the spoke to the tire bead. the bullet/ whatever your friend bought has a step then flattens out, at my work we retail both rims. But the cap is enough of a difference so they cant do a copyright deal. pretty crappy deal. most of the wheels we carry also get copied, like the Jesse james .357 has been copied by other's and the helo Renagade. One slight difference is all they need.

Don't know what to tell ya man, they look just like the cragars on all the Hot Rod/Berger/ZL1's I've ever seen. These all have the fat lip and these are all 17's.
Maybe you should go tell Helen Gibb the wheels on her ZL1 are knockoffs.

That is my red SS up above, and those are definately Cragar SS rims, 230 series, 18 x 9 with a +32mm offset, and with the offset they are sometimes called a 236 series as well...they are exactly the same as the 17" rims posted above, except they are 18's...these 18's were 32#'s i believe with packaging when I got them in from the vendor.
The vendor was Rev Wheel, LLC out in riverside Cali, and yes, I got them off of ebay for $599 plus shipping.
I had originally gone with the Chrome Bullett Replica's from Todd at DTD because I was told that Cragar went out of business...while that is kind of true, they sold the manufacturing rights to a couple of different companies to continue producing the rims....

ha, fbodman, good pics...I was typing that long post as you were posting up pics because I didn't see your response until I hit submit....one of the Berger series of cars did get some 18" cragars, not sure if it was the Hot Rod cars, the Berger Cars, or the Supercars, but a couple did get them, I remember people on the power tour complaining of rub issues....
Last year at camarofest, I think I was the only car with 18" cragars, so good luck finding them.

Anyone know if the 17's have rub issues with stock ride height because I'm really thinking about getting some. The closest offset I could find is +32mm. I found both 17's and 18's on ebay.
