Default What are the best-looking aftermarket rims for NON-LOWERED '98-'02 LS1 f-bodies?

I'm not lowering my car so I was wondering if there are any aftermarket rims that look good on a non-lowered '98-'02 LS1 f-body. I know that many of them look horrible on a non-lowered car (for example, I've seen a 4x4 Z28 with 18 inch Z06 rims--you get the picture), but are there some styles out there that actually compliment the unlowered look? And what size would be good? Thanks in advance for the info.

I bought my old TT2s (17x9.5 and 17x11) off a guy with a non-lowered white Z28. I thought they looked great - since it wasn't lowered, you could really see how much tire was back there. When they are lowered, you can't really tell unless its from the back. I think you have to stay away from 18" rims if you aren't lowered...and the wider the 17", the better.

I would say 19 inches would do the trick. CCW's, Iforged, or if your trying to go a cheaper route I would say HP Design.

My '02 Z looked pretty decent with the 17/18 Z06s. It didn't have the 4x4 look that my '01 had with the 17s.

I would say just go with a larger diameter tire. I've seen a couple of camaros 275/40/18 out back and they look okay. I don't know how much larger it is but it seems to look good.

Other than that I would say just stick with some 17's, wide out back.

Personally I think 18" looks great on any spring combo. I've got a 1.5" drop, and I'm using 275/35/18's all the way around. A couple people have suggested to me to switch to a 275/40/18, but I'm not sure it would look right.

Yeah but he's talking about stock ride height. I wouldn't go with 275/40/18 on a 1.5" drop either.

headers an some other ****, now that's funny in a good way.

now who are these people suggesting 40 series anybodies or guesser's?

first off 40s would be way to tall to clear the front fender wells (if you have them) on rear it would be ok. with 275

I can see them on the back but I'm thinking it will mess up the ABS sys. and TCS sys. (meaning smaller aspect ratio on frnt than back)

I've been trying for years to get an expert explaination on this issuse. 44 so called experts read my last post then got confussed.

Why don't you just lower your car 1" inch or so? It will make whatever wheel you get look so much better!

nice rims they appear to be 30 series . I would hate to hit a deep pot hole an ding or even ruin a rim.

how is the ride quailty I'm thinking it rides kindof ruf. I guess that's the price of looking cool.

Badmfckr: I went with 35s all the way around cus if i put a 40 in the back it would make my ABS and traction control much more sensitve. I don't believe it would cause them to apply at all times but the varying speed between might make the ABS that much more sensitive. plus it affects the speedometer and calculating speed is not a headache i want to have
Plus i can't tell a difference in ride quality.
