I was quoted $650 for powdercoating the center of all four of my TT2's. Seems pretty steep in my opinion (so much so that I don't want it done that bad). Is this guy trying to screw me or is this the average going rate?

Yeah, he wants to charge me $150 a piece and $50 for the supplies.

That sounds like a lot. I could see the $150 maybe but the other $50 is bull. Check with more shops

I called a shop called Turbo Mach and the rep quoted me between $35-$50 jus for one rim... I hope he ain't bullcheeeeting wit me! I was going to take the rim tomorrow morning but they closed the wkend so I'll take it first thing monday morning. Wheels of America quoted me $129 flat rate/ rim.... I'm lucky three came powder coated already!

50-100 / wheel here at the local place depending on masking required and if its a "specialty" color or not

i use to work for a powder coating company i don't know the # but if you look them up they do great work and will give you a reasonable price Powder Coat Finishes in fact the owner races 8.90 class dragsters

I'm trying to stay local. I'll see what else there is out there as far as their competition goes. And yes, it is a special color and would have to be ordered.
