Default Silver, Gunmetal or Chrome on NBM?

Hey guys I've done the searching bit and have definitely narrowed it down to 17x9.5 and 17x11 ZR1 wheels. To me, nothing matches the body lines for the price better than ZR1's. As my car stands right now its pretty much just you're average NBM WS6, and all i've really done is 17% tint, removed the bird on the rear taillight filler panel, painted calipers gloss black, painted caliper brackets silver , and silver trans am decals on the calipers. Future plans are obviously the wheels, 315 MT's, and I'm really not looking to roll the fender lips, so I'll be doing the heater hose mod, and a mild (probably hotchkis) lowering in the front for some nice rake. Anyway...the nitty gritty

Chrome ZR1's from tomzwheels------------give or take (shipped) $700
Silver ZR1's from Ebay--------------------about (shipped) $518
Gunmetal ZR1's-----------------No Idea...dont even know where to get them

So the decision will ultimately be mine in the end, and im not going to just buy one or the other because all of ls1tech says so (like some people do). just seeing if you guys can enlighten me as to which you prefer and why! right now silver is tempting due to silver caliper decals, silver ram air on hood, and the fact that they are about 200 bucks cheaper. lets hear it guys. GET IT ON!

I say chrome (I have now) or a lighter grey then gunmetal like argent (I am getting soon).

Silver is too plain IMO.

Chome/Polish looks really good on NBM. I think silver would get old fast, and gunmetal, I would leave that for the CETA.

6LITEREATER's wheels do look damn good, but im assuming he's running 18's in the rear. I have some good 275's that are on the car now that im planning on running up front, and the profile difference between the rear and the front would bug me, not to mention the lack of options for 18 inch DR's. do they make 17x11 "argent" ZR1's or would i have to paint them? i like the price of the silver but i might get tired of them like you said.

Yup, he has 17/18 combo. I love the rake.

There are many 18" DR's. BFG makes a few in 18" sizes.

I have seen ZR1's in gunmetal, not argent, sorry bro.

If you want chrome, my SLP ZR1's will be for sale soon LOL.

im being lazy but is that the same aspect as say my 275-40-17's? im thinkin itll be the same height...the the profiles will be different. I almost wish someone made say a 305 series tire with the same amount of profile....so 1" taller tire. HAWT RAKE. ****....looks like im starting to lean toward silver (and then painting) or chrome ZR1's. the ones i was looking at were uh...well thats a non sponsor link. if you search "silver ZR1" on ebay its the first result. they seem like a little darker silver but maybe its just the shadow. what do you think?

anyone know where to get gunmetal with a polished lip?

On a dark colored car I prefer a light color wheel. It adds more contrast. I would go with either the chrome or silver. By the way 6LITERS car looks great with gunmetal wheels.

I had 17x9.5/17x11 chrome zr-1's I paid $360 used.....look around locally for good deals .

If you find a good used set from someone that lives 2 far, shipping wheels is pretty expensive so find a local pick up if you can, sadly zr1's are pretty common so theyre becoming easier to find......i ended up trading them for a set of chrome z06 wheels
