Sailpanel Rattle (I think)
Okay so I installed my sail panel subs in about 2 months ago in my 01 trans am... and I'm starting to get a rattle from the left one...
Of course this is the same side i blew last time but it doesn't really sound blown....
I took the cover off to look and see if it had any tears... didnt really see any but it still rattles real bad...
I know i had to tighten one of the mounting screws once before and it stopped a previous very hard to hear rattle but I don't know if its the same thing now?
Any suggestions?

check to make sure the seat belt is not rattling against the plastic sail panel cover. I thought I had blown a sail panel speaker but it was just the seat belt, now I keep both rear seat belts buckled at all times.

If you replaced with a stock speaker, check to see if your cone has come detached anywhere from the foam surrounding it. This happened to me and gave me a rattle even though there was no tear of the cone.

I had a rattle even after disconnecting that speaker completely (as I have subs now). It turns out that the entire plastic piece surrounding the speaker that starts at the edge of the door and goes back beyond the back seat had become a little loose. I folded up some paper towels into a small square and stuffed it between the edge of the back seat and the rattling piece and had no more rattling. Sometime I need to replace it with a black cloth or something so it's not quite as noticeable. you can only really see it if you're looking into the back seat from the front because of where it sits.
