I agree. I used home stereo RCA's and kept them away from my power wires, haven't had any interference. Power wire is all very similar as well, finer wire strands give better flexibility, but all the major brands should have similar performance.
I bought mine from Cardomain http://www.cardomain.com/shoptype/Power+Wires and picked the gauge I wanted, then found the cheapest stuff per foot. Check out my link below if you want, stereo stuff is on page 3.

I have never seen the reason to pay the high price for 'pretty' cables. Granted I would not use the cheap zip-cord k-mart style, but as an avid audiophile, you will not notice a difference. Go good, not pricey.

i run knukonceptz power and rca wires, does the job quite nicely. i wouldnt advise thier power blocks and the like, (cause i bought those too) for those i'd go with stinger or streetwires.

Old thread I know, but where would be the best place to get Stinger wires? Also, what about the Rockford Fosgate wires, or Scoshe wires? I need a set either a 4 way set of RCs'a or 2 sets of RCA's about 10 ft as well as a 4 ga power wire, remote turn on wire and another set of longer RCA's 16 ft or so. Not trying to build the best system, but not crap either.

Wire is wire. As long as the RCA's are shielded (most are), and a good install is done, noise will not be a problem. I usually look for a pretty wire at a good price. Thats why I use wire from Knukonceptz.com

I know it's an old thread. But like said before Wire is wire. But For RCA's you need gold plated ends with sheilded cable. Gold is the best conductor of electricity beside's platnium. So basically. electricity travels through these metals faster that's it. The only reason you will need a bigger guage is if you've got alot of current.

Wire is not wire. NO NO NO there are better wire and crap wire. Electricity flows on the outside of the wire strands so the more stands the better. then you have the copper, nickle, or plated. Then you have the wires coating - Is it clean or solid as there ar said to be different current or heat rates on these.
And most inportant is the connection at the end crip or solder ends are that very good but better that exposed wire under a screw. Any high end audio product uses a hole with a screw or allen bolt that scres into it. And a sleaved power wire that has a press fit on it is the very best.
Oh and for audio (speaker wire) there is also twisted paires and wire that has a center plastic wire in it to stop noise.
Don't get me started on RCA's -----But to answer your question--- Go streetwires or JL. JL is REALY cheap and VERY good.

All of the expensive wires are just a way to empty your wallet. As stated above Stinger is excellent quality for a good price. Streetwires and Monster are usually more expensive. Jl and Rockford wire and cables are also good, but again the cheaper ones will sound just as good as the most expensive. I have never been able to hear a difference by changing rca cables or speaker wires in a system.

I dont agree with this at all.
There is a big difference between a good set of patch cords and a cheap set. Even the volt loss from 12v wires can be big. Dont spend big money on good components just to run cheap wires.
