Need Help With Kenwood KDC-X990
HELP PLEASE!!!
I installed this head unit to replace my stock one, and no matter what I do I can't seem to get the woofers in back seats to sound good. I've messed with all the settings and I can't seem to get the woofers to be very loud. They are very quiet, and hit much harder with my stock head unit.
All of the kenwood menus and equilizers only have settings for "front" and "rear" i dont know which the woofers are considered, but it doesnt seem to matter because I have played around with both to no avail.

explain your setup in some more detail. I just installed the kdc-x990 in my car about 2 days ago. I dont have my sub yet but im pretty sure that in the menu there was a subwoofer on/off switch and some other options.

I took a look at my kdc-x990 this morning. If you hit the menu button once and go into the sound management system (SMS) there is a subwoofer choice where you can set the size of your woofer. Make sure you dont have it set to none.

If you want a little more kick to the low end.
Look under the WOW Control, scroll to TruBass Front or Rear and adjust the setting.
You will be able to choose 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4. The higher number you pick, the more bass output you should hear.
Also, you should check to see if you have your High Pass Crossovers set to high.
