I give one vote for the Elemental Designs sub! They even have a package for it with Subthump. Saves you a little bit of cash too.

My ED sub hit clean and hard when I want it to.

diamond has a good high power 10". Don't know if it is good for the stealthbox, but I know it and my two 12"s from them are incredibly well built, much better then JL.

Best bang for the buck is the Type-R. But, of course it isnt the "best" you can get... that would cost more.

Type R isn't bad at all. I guess if you want to be heard from 2 blocks away you'll want something better though. With the hatch in these cars you realy don't need much power back there to sound good.

Not sure what price range your looking at, but I like the specs on the planet audio "Big Bang" 10

800W max

400W

12Hz-350Hz

92 dB @ 1 watt/ 1meter

Dual 2 Ohm

100 Oz

6-5/8”

3”

12 Hz down low should be nice.

I have owned a Type R and IDQ10 and currently own a CDT Audio HD1020....all of them installed in the same ~0.50ft³ custom fiberglass "stealth" box.

I like my CDT Audio the best out of all of them and the Type R the worst of the three. I am more of a SQ guy over SPL though, but my CDT Audio sub gets plenty loud for my tastes. I even have the box STUFFED full of poly to keep the bass nice and tight. I could take some poly out to make it louder but I love the way it sounds right now.
