ok..this is what i have so far.. can anyone draw me up a detailed diagram as to how to hook all this stuff up, also what kind of amp kit would i need to power this up (what size gauge wire , ground wire etc...)..i really want to do it on my own.(with everyones help from ls1tech.com) if i left any information out that you need to know, just let me know..thanks so much

Hopefully this can help you a bit.

1. Typical setups use 4 gauge wire from the Battery to the splitter in the back of the car (13-14 feet should be enough). You mentioned only 1 amp, but you might as well wire it for more if you plan on adding a second one later.
2. Run 8 gauge wire from the splitter to the ampifier.
3. Use the same setup for the ground setup, with the exeption that your grounding source should be no more than 3-4 feet from the amplifying units.
(I used the seatbelt bolt, but make sure you grind the paint down to the bare metal or you'll be stuck with the engine whine)
