I'm starting my install with 2 new pionner 6x9 and a new cd/mp3 player head unit. I tried to plug the speaker to the stock wire and it doesnt work. In fact, there was never any speaker there. The last owner had an upgraded sound system and it looks like he pulled the system out before selling to me to keep it and replugged the stock parts without care....
any advice if I have to rewire the rear speaker and radio?

must be something like that!!...
I soldered my radio harness adapter and there is 2 wire left: an orange and a blue wire for power antenna and illumination. Where am I supposed to solder that!?...I'll check my wire in the car to see if there is nothing left.

If your car came with the base audio system (RPO code UQ0) then there weren't any speakers in the hatch area. It had only four speakers - two doors and two sail panels (next to rear seat).
If your car came with the Monsoon system (RPO code UZ7) then the hatch speaker wires are white and tan on the left side, red and tan on the right side (tan is + on both sides).
