Propane information Anybody know what propane tank and regulator to use for converting a wet kit to use propane as the fuel.
Any information on jet sizes would be useful also.

No need for a fuel pump. The propane is about 105 oct. Propane does not puddle in your intake
Yes, the best being the high octane, and a small container will last a really long time. No stand alone fuel system.
Some things to remember:
1. Use a nitrous noid, or a good fuel noid (NOS PowerShot=400psi).
2. Monitor a/f like you normally would (no formula to convert from gas (jets) to propane, yet, I'll figure that out later).
3. Propane needs to be heated to 140/160psi (can use bottle heater).
4. You can go propane/n2o, or a three way system propane/gas/n2o, 3-way makes more power.
5.Propane can be used on a wet or dry system (3-way).
6. Use a NOS bottle blanket with the 85* thermastats (will heat to 160psi).
7. Higher propane pressure equals richer mix.
8. You'll use about 1lb of propane for every 18lbs of nitrous.
9. As a gas it doesn't have the distribution problems of gasoline.
10. Octane of propane around 112/115. (the good stuff).
11. No propane reg needed.
Let me know what size shot and I'll give you the jet sizes (try to find that info).

I've been looking into this too and my only hang up has been that I don't feel like putting another large bottle in the back of my car. I wish they made a 2 lb propane bottle. The smallest tank I found is a 5 pounder, other than the small 1 lb bottles used for cooking stoves. I was thinking about using the 1 lb bottles but they aren't refillable.
I've been told that propane will also have an additional cooling effect when sprayed. Also, propane will atomize with the nitrous better than gasoline.

dam robert i never knew you actually went into this further. thats awsome what kind of gains did you get from this? i was thorwing the idea of doing my direct port propane or alky setup but i just never got that far into the project
