Default Trans Am intercooler size

Can someone measure the distance between the foglights on the LS1 TA front bumper cover. Need to know how wide I can make the heat exchanger for the H2O to air. My car is about 1500 miles away. Thanks.

Lights are 24" center to center, and the openings are approx 5" in diameter.

other crap on the mounts will effect available space however.

Thanks, I am going to lose the fog lights and bumper support, and cut out the license plate mount.

my i/c is 33x12x4

i cut most everything off the fog light brackets and attached them directly to the i/c with velcro....yes velcro and nobody has ever known. I take them out at the track in the summer for a little more airflow to the i/c. I dont like the way the front looks without the fog lights which is why i did it that way

Thats a pretty good idea. I agree it looks way better with the fog lights. Thanks!

This is going to be the heat exchanger for the water to air intercooler, not an air to air. The actual IC will be mounted inside. So I figure the heat exchanger can be 30" x 7"-8" or so. That should provide plenty of surface area.
