Default 400+ cam only cars!!!

i have a 99 formula M6 car..right now she is getting forged goodies and she has every upgrade i can get right now w/ the acception of under drive pulley, and expensive intake set up...everything else is done...
i am currently running a lunati 234/236 .050 .544/.545 112 lsa cam...i made 380 rwhp and 350 tq when tuned and dynod...i am looking for the 415+ hp and more torque from a cam only set up...and since everybody is going to ask about my mods...i will list ahead of time...

slp lid, SLP cool air pak, K&N filter(s), smooth bellow, 80 mm BBK TB, LS6 intake, MSD wires, NGK Plugs, 853 heads( 3 angle valve job, new locks, guides, retainers) comp hardened pushrods, crane springs .650 lift, crane lifters, ported LS6 oil pump, dbl roller timing chain, polished crank, mahle forged pistons, eagle forged H beam rods, SLP Lt's, 3" ORY loudmouth w/ tips, no cats, no converters...i think that's it...and since suspention stuff doesnt really count on this..i will leave it out..

anyways like i said i am looking for that 415-430 hp cam only #'s

are you looking for e.t. improvements, or just a dyno number? i would recommend going with a FAST intake to make the most of a cam only combination. that way you might not have to go with such a ginormous cam to hit the number.

we have hit 410rwhp recently with our SI6 cam and ls6 intake (cam-only) for what it's worth.

Link to cam-only thread, not all at your goal but that gives you an idea of the cam size, also if you are gettin forged pistons, get some with valve relief and have your heads milled for bump in comp., A trex or a ms4 should do it for you.

those lobes on that lunati cam are pretty lazy and the lift is kinda low. Those lobes are probably more like a 224/228 after .200 lift and don't even carry lift as high.

lots of the high end cams will get you to your HP goal, but the size of the lobes needed will open the exhaust valve too soon to get amazing tq numbers. To get those you're going to need to pull the heads, mill for compression and flycut, or you'll need better heads all together.

I made 391/386 on a Mustang dyno Cam only in a stalled A4. Mods are 3:73's, CAI, full exhaust w/ ORY, Built tranny w/ Vig.3200 stall, and a RPM2 cam
(232/234 595/598 on a 112) I should be around 410+/- on a dynojet.

I think your HP# is doable cam only but to have 4+ hp/tq cam only is going to be tough.
I agree with milling to bump comp. and hope for more tq but 4+ I don't know. I put 404rwhp and 374rwtq with cats on after market rims that are a little heavy. The car could have done maybe 410+ with no cats and stock rims but the TQ I'm sure would have never gone past 380-385. My cam is the TSP Torquer 3

I just put down 402 rwhp and 374 rwtq in my 2000 M6 SS with Speed Inc. SI5 cam using a Fast/NW intake setup. These numbers are also through a heavy drivetrain that includes an LS7 clutch and a 9"w/3.89 gears. The rest of my mods are in my sig.

I put down 393hp/383tq on the old tune w/ an ASA cam (226/236 .525 110lsa).
No #'s w/ the new tune, but I picked up 3 tenths and 4mph @ the track, so I'm assuming I'm in the neighborhood of 400hp now.

I am running an MS4 in my M6 car. I have a ported TB, underdrives, FTRA, and MSD wires. I made 434 RWHP on a Dynojet dyno, With a 9in witch eats some power. I say go with an MS4, I have had no problems with it driveable wise and it sounds mean as hell!
