Camaro ZL1 Limousine Convertible Is Perhaps the Flashiest Prom Ride Yet

Camaro ZL1 Limousine Convertible

This might just be the only Camaro ZL1 limousine on earth, and it’s amazingly well done, even if it doesn’t make much sense.

For decades, limousines have served as the preferred ride of choice for everyone from teenagers attending prom to those riding away from weddings to U.S. presidents, and many others in between. There’s just something undeniably flashy about cruising around in the back of a stretched vehicle, enjoying a bit of champagne and luxury while someone else drives you around, after all. This means that over the years, we’ve seen just about any kind of vehicle one can imagine transformed into a limo, but this ultra-long Camaro ZL1 might just be the first of its kind.

Sure, there are plenty of Camaro-based limos out there, whether you’re talking about vintage examples or newer, sixth-gen models. None of them, at least as far as we know, are based on the Camaro ZL1, which makes sense – after all, we are talking about a car that’s built specifically for track duty, one packing a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 churning out 650 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque. However, that didn’t stop at least one person from transforming it into a high-performance limo.

The mere idea of a Camaro ZL1 limo is absurd enough on its own accord, but there’s actually far more to this build than that. Rather, the white machine is also fitted with a convertible top that retracts only in the rearmost portion. It seems as if this build did indeed involve quite literally cutting the car in half, adding the limo section in the middle, and retaining the front and rear portions as they came from GM in the first place.

Unfortunately, there isn’t much information floating around the internet regarding this unique build, which is a shame because, well, we have lots of questions. It was clearly used in a wedding, as we can see in this video, but otherwise, it’s unclear who built it or even where it might be – after all, the fellow speaking in the video isn’t using English. Regardless, we can simply enjoy this short clip and marvel at the fact that folks in the limo industry quite literally know no boundaries when it comes to building the most over-the-top rides in the business.
