Dyno Wednesday: LS6 Corvette Race Car is LOUD

This is the sound of eight very angry pistons wailing away like it’s their last day on earth. The thing that gets me about race cars isn’t just how intense they are, but the fact that they have to me maxed out around a track, all day, non-stop. That’s impressive.

Don’t get me wrong, I love a thousand horsepower turbo LS as much as the next guy, but race cars are special. This Corvette is tuned for the NASA ST-2 class. The rules say the engine is free so long as the car maintains the right power to weight ratio. So long as it continues to sound like a bat out of hell, I’m all for it.
