Genesis Drift Car Goes from Tire Destruction to BBQ
Drifting is at its core, the act of absolute tire destruction. Sure, drivers receive points for style, speed, and proximity to others and walls, but tire destruction is really the goal for all those that participate in the sport. Smoke pouring off the rear ends of insanely powered rear-wheel drive racecars, and fire shooting out of the exhaust is the scene whenever you turn up to a drift event, and that’s why people come.
That element of fire however, while needed to make enough power for tire destruction, isn’t needed outside of the engine. What we have here is a Hyundai Genesis Coupe drift car that has a problem separating the fire in the engine, from the fire outside of the car. However, as if Ken Block’s soul became one with this driver, he Just Aint Care.
