The Impala is the Quintessential Muscle Car

“What is it about cars from the late 60s that says bank robbery?” It could be the presence, it could be the trim, it could be the massive V8 crammed under the hood to say sayonara to the cops. In this episode of Big Muscle, Mike Musto plays with the quintessential muscle car. The Chevy Impala.

Musto calls the Impala the bouncer. It’s the understated muscle at the back of the bar that you really don’t want to mess with. He’s the guy that may look a little imposing, but if you prod him, he’ll take your head clean off. And honestly, we can’t disagree with Musto here, because one, the Impala is awesome, and two, Mike Musto is that understated bouncer at the back of the bar that can take your head off if he wanted to.

As Mike points out, this specific car isn’t a pro-street, it’s not a resto-mod, it’s not a pro-touring. It is just a simple, honest muscle car and it’s a badass in its own right.
