Lingenfelter Performs Heart Surgery on Camaro SS in 60 Seconds
The 2016 Chevrolet Camaro SS’s heart was running fine, but it just wasn’t up to Lingenfelter’s standards. You could say it needed a bit of a valve adjustment. A pacemaker could fix that. Or in this case, a Magnuson TVS2300 Heartbeat Supercharger.
The inter-cooled system installation also includes a “custom engine control module reprogramming and “chassis dyno testing before & after installation.” After all is said and done, the car has a massive power boost. With the SS trim, the 6.2L LT1 V8 engine puts out 455 horsepower and 455 lb-ft of torque. After the supercharger is installed, your Camaro will give you 630 brake horsepower and 600 lb-ft of torque.
The entire process typically takes three to four weeks, and the pricing has yet to be announced. Take a minute and watch the shop work its magic in this quick installation time-lapse.
