LS Fest West Poised to Make Triumphant Return in 2021!
After a one-year hiatus Holley’s LS Fest West will be coming back to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway this April.
It is almost time to return to our regularly scheduled LS-powered program. Holly’s LS Fest began back in 2010 and it grew into the premier show for fans of all things LS and LT based. In 2017 LS Fest West was born for the fans on that side of the country. In 2018, LS Fest West got bigger and better. It came with shows, and drift competitions and drag racing, it was awesome. In 2019 it ramped up again. That all set the stage for 2020, which was going to be the biggest LS Fest West yet. Then a tiny germ showed up. The 2020 show was cancelled. Queue the sad trombones. However, LS Fest East managed to take place last September, and now LS Fest West is back on the books for 2021. Move over covid, LS power coming through.
Mark your calendars now for April 23 – 25, 2021 and plan to be at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. There will be extra precautions put in place, but the show is expected to go on. And what a show it should be. It is a tired cliché to say a show has something for everyone. But this show has something for everyone. Well, maybe if you get your kicks from electric cars and geek out over EPA figures, you will be disappointed. The rest of us will be having a blast.
There will be a show and shine, autocrossing, drag racing, burnouts, drifting, dyno pulls, and so much more. All with vehicles using your favorite powerplant. The event is open to any and all vehicles equipped with a 1997 or later LS engine, or late model LT V8. Word of warning, you do not want to try to sneak in with a non-LS ride. Rotary-powered cars will be especially humiliated. LS Fest West will allow all young children to eat ice cream inside your rotary phone. Excuse us, rotary car. So, leave it at home.
If you wish to compete for the title of Grand Champion, you can register for the Grand Champion Pack. This allows you to complete in autocross, 3S challenge, dyno challenge, show and shine, and the Grand Champion specific drag class. Or you can compete in just the shows or just the autocross or any other single event. Of course, for $20 you can just be a spectator and take in all the fun.
A lot of us are just itching to get back to some normal car events soon. LS Fest West would go a long way towards getting us back on the road to recovery. The past year has been tough on a lot of folks. Being able to take part in something we all love together with friends and family would heal some wounds. Let’s get out there and do what we do best and enjoy these amazing vehicles. Keep an eye on LS1 Tech as we will have more coverage of this awesome event. Grab your tickets now, you are not going to want to miss this!
