Police Seize Corvette Z06, Promptly Turn It into Cop Car
Every so often, the police impound cars. This is due to either flagrant traffic infractions, not paying their bills on time, or being busted and having all of your property seized by the local government. When the latter happens, it leaves the police and the city with a mountain of old porn magazines, weird Star Wars pajamas, a pet Iguana named Izzy, and sometimes, cars.
In Texas, things are always done a bit different, and that’s why when the police department of New Braunfels seized a drug dealer’s 2007 Corvette Z06, they decided that they shouldn’t let a perfectly awesome sports car go to waste. Yesterday this Z06 was running from the police, now it is one.
After the police department fit the Z06 with all the proper gear, things like light bars, paint scheme, and a few graphics, they ran into a problem. What to call it. Currently, the NBPD has launched a Facebook competition to name the new police interceptor. The best nickname wins. What they win, we’re not sure, hopefully it’s a get out of speeding tickets for life.
