Project YOLO: The Quest For 100 HP Per Liter Without Nitrous Or Forced Induction

By -

Yolo

When faced with the decision to add forced induction or big cubes and stay naturally aspirated, member 427zm decided to go big or go home with an all-motor 434ci ERL-built motor. The goal? To make 100hp per liter on motor alone, AKA 710hp at the crank (or 600whp) from 7.1 liters of LS iron. But 427zm is taking it one step further by wanting to produce solid numbers at peak AND under the curve. En lieu of the HUGE cammed 418s putting down big numbers at peak in exchange for power under the curve, he’d rather run a larger 434 with a milder (don’t even call it mild though) cam for a more robust motor, that if speced correctly, will eat a lot of people’s lunches. Oh yeah, he’s also hoping to make this numbers on 93-octane pump gas!

Intrigued yet? I know we are! That’s why we’ll be keeping a close eye on the build thread!
