RIDE ON! A 1968 Camaro in the Garage!

One just has to appreciate old school muscle. After all, it’s where the history of some of the greatest cars in history began — namely, the Chevrolet Camaro.

The 1967-69 Camaros are most certainly a prime example of why this Golden Era for muscle cars was just so great. LS1Tech member Doug G is lucky enough to have the ’68 model sitting in his garage. In today’s feature of RIDE ON! we’re going to take a look at his glorious machine!

This ’68 Camaro started out with a 350 ci engine, but since then Doug has thrown a 406 under the hood instead. This beast has a stinger hood, Drag Radials, and lots of suspension upgrades that surely make this Chevy a blast to drive and to race!

This car’s fastest quarter mile time yet is 11.304 seconds at 119.05 miles per hour. However, Doug plans to get an LSX motor under the hood in the future and is looking forward to the possibility of low to mid 10s or better.

Not everyone gets the chance to own a car as classic or as powerful (this Camaro has approximately 400 horsepower) as this one. And with so many of these disappearing every year they are becoming even rarer to find, let alone afford.
