I went thru the thread, and couldn't find weather or not anyone decided on dual or single filaments.

I'd think you'd have to have a dual filament, but maybe I'm wrong?

I used 3157 double filaments on the outer positions. big mistake. they make alot of heat. when i was in traffic with my foot on the brake , the lenses began to melt and bubble. so i bought a new set of lamps, and i bought 3157 tower LED bulbs to fit into the 3157 sockets. they look great, and they make no heat, or at least not enough to melt anything.

Talking sequential tail light for trans am fianally

They came in today and I put them on this afternoon.Truly plug and play.I did not have to purchase anything additional.I spent about an hour installing you could rush and do it in about half of the time.I did change the bulbs over to the newer sylvania bulbs that are supposed to be 40% brighter. Not sure how well they will work with the led bulbs. The kit comes with different bulbs to use on the outside and it supplies dual voltage to the existing socket.Works perfectly.I will get a video and try to post.

Anyone know how to slow down the sequence on a camaro? The video of the yellow camaro LT1 lights is how mine are now, but I'd really like it to go slow. Anyone messed with this?

*edit* Did buy a diff flasher but it didn't really change anything. Is there a certain one to buy that is slower? Thanks.

I'm pretty sure that there is an adjustable electronic flasher that's available for our cars. I'll have to look for it again.

Man I hope so, I've had sequential tail lights for years and always wanted to slow mine down.

Me too. I'd like to know.

Maybe I missed it above, but do I still need to change the outer bulbs to be dual filament?

Default where to

Ive put about 1000 miles on it since installing them.No problems so far.The kit is 89.95 with free shipping. There is nothing more to purchase. They supply dual voltage to the third light doing away with the need to change sockets. They also update the bulb to the 921 which handles the extra current. All three light up at the same time as a running light, and all three blink.Any questions just ask even if you run into a problem during install.Ill post the address not sure if its legal or not but if not mods remove and peeps can pm me.WWW.webelectricproducts.com you can get a fully adjustable flasher but with the stock bulbs they blink fine.I am considering trying leds but havent yet. They just developed this kit about 3 weeks ago so its still new.But like I said no problems here at all.

No you dont change to dual filament bulbs. They alter the current to work with a single filament bulb but they do change the bulb to a 921 which is included. No changing the socket.Completely plug and play!!

Unfortunately, an LED replacement wouldn't work in that outer socket with that dual voltage setup. I'm guessing the sequencing units output 6V / 12V to the outer bulbs depending on operation (parking lamp vs brake/signal). If you put in an LED unit, it would turn on at 12V and stay off at 6V because its been designed to with at 12V.

they said they didnt think it would work with the leds because of the dual voltage to the outside bulb.I personaly dont know much about leds at this time but was going to try anyway...until now.Im sure that the reduced voltage would prevent it from working. As for the adjustable flasher I havent purchased one because I like the way they are. However Im sure that the ones you use for leds would work fine as they supply the current to the lights
