2nd post in that thread:
First, let me comment that disabling the DRLs because they "don't look cool" is dumb. They are a safety item - both for you and for other drivers on the road.

I don't care about the safety. Just the looks. If they were so great all manufacturers would use them but they don't. And I will check out the solder Method right now.

They are required by law in some countries.

Why don't you just unplug the bulbs? That seems far more simple than soldering etc.

blinkers are over rated, most people dont know where they are going anyways or where the blinkers are for that matter.

Weird, I always liked them. In fact I went out of my way to turn the marker lights on in my 1989 formula because I thought it made the car look mean going down the road (and I like DRL for foggy/dim situations, people are blind as bats).

You don't like the hyper white look either? Could always change the color to make them look better and still have them function.

I agree with you. I changed mine to be white. They look much better than the yellow.

I like the DRL function but i hate the auto lights. I like to be able to drive at dusk with my fogs on and not have the head lights on when its not even dark out yet. I just haven't had the motivation to go in and disconnect the thing.

It's a good thing you don't live in Canada then.
