Thought it would be a good idea while we had the chance to reduce the amount of unused wiring, connectors, etc. Instead of just cut and tuck, we're tracing it back all the way to the PCM. Lol.....weight save!!!!

And on a side note, new lifters showed up today. Hope to have new pushrods tomorrow or Sat

I've committed with the same guys I went to SEMA with, so it's crunch time again!

Thanks B....

Never posted the solution we came up with for a throttle cable and bracket. Stock cable wasn't going to work, Kinsler didn't provide anything, so another custom piece was needed. Working with a machinist that does some killer work came up with this simple bracket based on a napkin sketch and some basic dimensions. Using a Lokar cable and LS1 braket, it's one of my favorite pieces. Same guy is making a handful of other goodies and will post those up soon enough.

If you look close it bridges across the front of the valley cover using the two front bolts which end up counter sunk to the bracket.

May eventually anodize it, but don't have time now....playin with keeping it brushed or polish it.

Unfortunately, thanks to this little set back, I'm gonna miss Power Tour. Now I'm pissed. Soooo.....more mods!!!!

Pretty big mess goin on in the form of new boxes showin up daily, bench full of misc parts, lots of pop cans, more changes in direction than the wind, etc....but we now have a plan. Probably the 40 or 50th one

Most pics suck, but we're on the fly, so bare with me.

First, a little more carnage....

Wire harness diet came out great. All unused wiring from stock are gone all the way back to the PCM. Lengthened injector wires so they now come up from the bottom of the intake instead of laying on top. More details once the intake is back on.

New catch can....which will be cleanly located in a less than obvious spot

A little surface work to the VC's in addition to drilled holes in the rear of each to accept -10 lines for ventilation. Will also have baffles added....

Provisions machined in for IAC logs to help balance the runners are now in place.

Reference pic example better seen underneath this piece of jewelry ....

Not much done this weekend, but one of the guys came in to finish up the VC's. Baffled, breather can line bungs welded in....need a quick buffer across them and they're ready. Intake going back on tomorrow...start up Wednesday?

Wow, those valve covers look awesome! Huge improvement.

Are you using sharkhide or something like it for protection?

Lol....less busy with that free advertisement, right? Thanks Roberto....

Gonna send them over to a local anodize source for a little clear along with a handful of other pieces. To be honest, they're TOO shiney!

A step in the right direction....after all the mock-ups for new stuff, new hoses, gadgets, doodads and plan for serviceability we have to do this again (God forbid) final assembly is underway.

Narrowing down the last few pieces in the crazy system to make everything work properly. Here's a quick vid of a baby pull last week.

Thank you! Just mentioned to a friend the sound gives the car two different attitudes. Now that we've somewhat dialed in some of the driveability characteristics, idle comes across like a mild cammed, small stroker. At WOT, its more of a "gates of hell" sound that you have to be present for to really appreciate.

Appreciate it....I really hope we're getting to the end so I can get it back home, put some TLC back in it and salvage some of the show season.
