I did this mod from reading this thread. Real great help, very easy to do. Must say, i cant believe i left my engine this ugly for that long. the bay really looks cleaner now, less clumped up. BTW, i left my amp wire there cuase the fuse would've been in the fender wall. It would a bitch if the fuse popped and i had to go through the electric tape. Thumbs up for this thread, and LSWON's write up.

Someone should add the latch wire mod for the driver side to this. It's easy to hide as well.

there is an opening by the negative side of the battery where the wires go through.... i just did this mod the other day and it looks way better... now i just have to fill in the holes and repaint and make it glossy... i also have to do the !hoodlatch mod... for the other side, along with the hose... im thinking about taking off all the factory stickers (belt pattern. ect...) to really clean it up... i have before and after pics but none of the hole by the battery...

+1

Also all the rest of the wires (engine, ground, ect.) that could be hidden without cutting & splicing...

If you wanted to get to the wires easily after taping you could always backtape it. Take the tape and adhere about and inch length around the wire, without cutting the tape turn it 180 degrees so the smooth side of the tape is facing the wires and the adhesive is on the outside. Then wrap the entire length with the adhesive facing out until you get to the end (do not cut the tape). At the opposite end from where you started flip it again so that the adhesive is towards the wire, wrap it up again to cover the adhesive facing outwards from the first wrap. Now you'll be able to cut it off later with only an inch or so of adhesive actually being on the wire..

What worked for me was drilling two 1.25" holes next to each other, but overlapped slightly. looks wayyyy better now. Sorry, no close ups of the hole:

well my engine bay is pretty much done with repainting,so after i do the ABS delete,i will do the wire mod, latch wire mod and plan to do the fuel line mod.

AWESOME write up!

anyone have info on the fuel line relocation mod? someone said to go to the parts store and ask for the fuel line repair kit-3/8 and 5/8. what is this repair kit exactly so the parts store would know what i was talking bout.
