Default What do you think?

I was looking around on the web, and came across a web page. It's not a sponsor so I am not going to post it up just yet.
The web page had an 05 Vette with a Vertical Door kit on it!! Now I knw most think stuff like that is rice, and I agree on certain applications, like hummer, escalades and so on, and especial Honda.....

But I was thinking what a Trans Am, of Camaro would look like? I am more interested in the TA, because of the T-Tops, I think it would look pretty KEWL.
There is only one thing that is stopping me from getting this kit.
They dont haveone yet, and if I was to have one made I would need at least an order of 10 for them to even think making it.

Oh what the hell, I am going to post it anyway, if I am breaking a rule, then let me kow then I will delete this thread instead of getting it locked.

Please again let me know what you think. Thanks.

Neil

Do you work out? If not you may want to start. These doors are heavy as all get out.

I don't think those doors are rice at all. That definitely helps with the parking problems associated with those long doors. I've seen 'em on a couple Mustang GTs here in Germany and they're not bad at all.

I think people dont want to hurt your feelings, I think its rice and would have to kick my own *** if I ever put those on my car, I did hear of a few people that have them say that getting in and out is a bi**h because the door is in the way of your upper body so you have to kinda wiggle through the bottom and if its raining or wet/dirty your body is allways touching the bottom of the door upon entry/exit.... I do like the fact that you could park in smaller spots and your door wouldnt hit other automobiles, but that just makes it easier for other people to open there door on your car wich is the real problem.... aside from that if you like the looks, have the $$, and it makes you happy go ahead and get um...

edit: btw, if you want to look custom have a good bodyshop shave the door handles and suicide the doors, I think that would look alot better and more people would enjoy it....

Actually, if you look at the photos you have to open it pretty far out to be able to slide it up, so the whole "makes it easier getting out of the car" thing goes right out the window.

I wanted to get a set until I saw how far you gotta open it to slide it up. As others mentioned, it's more of a huge lift to get it up than "sliding" it up.

To me it looks like you have the option of using the door regularly. I would really only use them is like at a car show or cruise or something. But I have found one website that has them for the firebird, it doesnt say anything for the TA. I know they are the same body. I just dont want purchase somethign that isnt going to work....

As for my feeling getting hurt.....I would rather have someone tell me straight forward than not tell me at all.......Thanks man for your import..I mean input!!

Those doors help tremendously with getting out. They go up, so you don't have to squeeze between the door and the car next to you, assuming you have to park right next to someone. Would I do it? No, because it is money I could use on other things, but I like them none the less!

ACW thank you for all the links to threads and other web sights. They mad emy search alot easier, I looked up Lambodoors.com and they dont have anythin for the F-body but they would make some. If there was an order of 10 or more cars, that would also drop the price from 2795 to like 1699.....That is a tempting offer, but I dont knwo 10 people that would do it.

LOL...Oh wel it doesnt matter much to me. I just wanted to know what you all thought. I thihnk it would look cool, I am still debating on the purchase of such a mod.
Oh well.....Thanks for all the insight guys.
