Default Which HID kit?

I have been searching for HID's for Camaro's and came across two main company's for HID conversions: Philips and McCulloch Does anyone have any experience with these. Which one should I get? Here's a link with some pics of the two http://www.xenonking.com/gallery1/6000/6000_22.htm

Hitup DinoZ w/ a PM on here if you want HIDs. He sells kits that I believe are pretty much plug & play.

dont waste your time with these kits unless they include HID projector housings. Why would you want to stick an HID bulb designed for a HID projector housing installed in a halogen housing? That creates alot of glare, and "hot spots". A good HID installation should have a nice cutoff line, and Kits dont give you that.

Also....as far as plug and play goes, it is a bad idea to use stock wiring. There are good threads at www.hidplanet.com that describes why, but when a ballast powers up, it pulls a surge of power through wiring that often exceeds stock capacity, however once powered up they run at a much lower rate.

Here is some good reading....

A good comparison....

And a good place to gather parts.

Im gathering parts to retrofit Acura TL Bi-Xenon projectors in my car, it will look sweet when finished.

I thought somebody had a kit out that had a correct pattern for a standard housing. It had a cutoff line. Or atleast they said it did. I cant remember where.

By standard housing do you mean a halogen projector housing? I would have to see it to believe it.

You cannot get a good pattern beam with a HID bulb in a halogen housing, unless you are retrofitting a HID projector into a halogen housing. At that point it makes the reflective silver lining in a halogen housing useless
