I'm not joking.
The guy that posted is named blackzcamaro. The hood is mopar style. Take a 67-69 camaro, change the hood scoops, grill and headlights, make a molded in front spoiler and a one piece tail light.
Maybe it's the black color hiding the body shape, but I can see the big similarities.
Also, why did he post pics of a Mopar when this thread is about Dick Harrell Camaros? Makes no sense. I still like it.

I'm a member of 3 sites. Excuse me for showing a picture of my car! What have you done in your 40 posts and 0 trader rating to help people? You seem like a jealous little ***** to say those things when you have no idea what I stand for in the LS1 community.
You obviously don't know what kind of horsepower my engine makes eighter. You just put something worse than your foot in your mouth.![](http://insaneindustry.com/images/smilies/loser.gif)

It is a Mopar, Through and Through. A 1970 Challenger.
I posted a Mopar because its the same idea on a different platform, and because it has a dated history, i.e. a TIMELINE. These new cars have no timeline whatsoever. The cars of the late seventies, like this Challenger, (along with many of the various 'bondo' creations of the time period) are HARDLY popular. The immense amounts of bondo and fiberglass that were used to make them have more 'Flare' and more 'Muscle', but are nothing but bodymods. You show any musclecar enthusiast who -enjoys- the original lines of a straight '70 Challenger, you show them those pictures, and they will most likely laugh at it. Why? Because it is HIDEOUS. NO amount of color, be it silver or blue or fire hazard orange can mask what has been done to this car. It screams poser, along with screaming stupid. And I look at the GMMG cars today and feel the same thing. Why throw a fender over a smaller fender to give it the appearance of having huge fenders? Why is it that a Camaro seemingly -needs- to have, what most import enthusiasts call it, a 'Wide-body' kit?

Does anybody remember the 'El Mule' Car, a '69 Pro-Touring Camaro, built by Mark Stielow, from Popular Hot Rodding? The car in some of the BFGoodrich ads we've seen in our favorite magazines? The current owner of that car, whom I have talked to annualy at the Hot August Nioghts event in Reno, NV, had a GMMG 'DH' car on order at one time. As of last year in August, he cancelled his order after he saw how the cars were being constructed. What does that say about your 'DH' cars?

Speaking of DH, GMMG and all, how is my red #11 DH coming along Ron?? I don't know how anyone would have a problem with how they are being built. I only ordered mine AFTER seeing how they were being built.
As far as the value of these cars going forward nobody has a clue, but the GMMG cars may well be the COPOs and Yenkos of the future.
Also, done right the DH type kit might be popular but probably never enough so to get GM or GMMG's attention. You have to keep in mind that your potential buyer will also consider that for the cost of an installed kit he just might be able to get into a 02 405HP Z06. Just a thought.
Too bad #11 won't be ready for next week-end.

I think you can still buy a brand new D. Harrell car. I heard they still have brand new Camaros in the wrapper stored in trailers and for $100k+ they will build a phase III car the way you want. Pretty cool huh?

Wade, I can only find a price of $85,000 for a DH car at Berger. Where do you see the $80,000? Thanks.
And you are right there were two left 6 weeks ago one of which may now be spoken for.

I just looked again and it is 85K...my bad.

Nope. 3 catfish is enough. The "FIRM" base price is $84,435.77 which including Michigan sales tax and $170 in other taxable charges works out to exactly $88K.
I am, stupidly enough, thinking of pulling the 427 out of the ZL1 and putting it in the DH. Then putting the original LS6 GMMG engine back in the ZL1. But if I did that I would have to swap or buy a new clutch, drive shaft, rear end, after mkt. pan hard bar, etc. Probably not my best idea.

But the DH is so much more deserving of that motor! It has the basass beefy looks that NEED a motor like that 427 in it. Is your DH just the base LS6 package? They don't do the chassis upgrades on the DH cars they did on the ZL1's? Seems kinda odd if they don't.

But, the ZL1s came with a 427. My DH will have the 475hp option, headers, stall converter, etc. The suspension is modified on the DH.
The hood on the DH would be an absolute must with the 427 due to the C5R race heads and the adaptor/spacers that were required to fit the LSX intake to the C5R heads.
