I had them (and sold them before they ever went in the car), but they didn't look like the ones in that thread. Instead of being the MacEwen-type style where just the tach, speedo, and lower 4 gauges were silver, the entire background was all silver. This meant that even when the SES, seatbelt, ABS lights, etc weren't on, you would still see the outline of them.
So the left and right sides would not be black behind that bezel, it would be silver with a ton of other unlit lettering.
I didn't like that at all, hence why I sold them.

I have them, and I really don't notice the lettering too bad on the sides. I got them because I liked that the silver went all the way out to the sides, and because they were $9 at the time. The only thing I don't like is that there is an unleaded fuel only light that is always on, you can't see the high-beams indicator, and the cut-outs for the odometer and turn signals don't line up perfect, but its not very noticeable. For the price I really like them though.
