Question good transmission shops in houston...rebuild/build

I am planning on rebuild/building my 4l60e in my 02 camaro with whatever I get back with my income tax. I would like to get an idea of around how much it is going to cost me so if I don't get enough back I will already have some cash set aside. Wanting to go with something that can handle in the 500range and with a 3600 stall so once I install a cam I will already be prepared for it.

So with that being said around what price range would I be looking at and is there somewhere in the houston area that is reputable?

Thanks Jake, We would love to build you a converter. We have a few options there, but sounds like you will need our Pro Series 245mm Stage I. You can call Circle D Transmission and they can get you a quote on the transmission.

Well i'm looking to go with a build that will hold a decent H/C build. Hopefully I will be adding a cam shortly after or by summer at the latest and from what i've seen 3600 is a good general stall to go with. As far as I know the original tansmission is still in there so that's why i'm looking for a build and not just converter. About how long is the down time on something like this?

We only build 4L60s for local customers that we do the install.
Actually sent one out today.
I could make a fortune building them, huge demand, and we've had pretty good success with them.
My problem is that I would have to redesign the whole thing to be happy. Nobody could afford it.

I am developing a transbrake for it but it's on the backburner.
