Default How do I contact Transgo? Missing pulse valve in HD-2 kit

How can I contact transgo? I have called 626-443-7451 over 20 times over the last couple months, no one answers the phone.

My HD-2 kit didn't seem to come with a pulse valve or the white/orange springs.
Page 3, step 2 of the instructions.

The kit came with a valve that is threaded on one side and has a bolt that threads into it, also a blue spring.....

Other than the large blue spring in the 2nd accumulator, there is no mention of any other blue springs.
Has this kit been redesigned since I bought it?

That is the latest valve currently being used. Install the blue spring into the bore and then the valve threaded end out. It works very good. Hope this helps. Vince

ok, I am supposed to use the bolt to loosen up the valve movement?

This is what some other guy said in a install write-up....

"put it in with the bolt and without the spring and run it back and forth 20 times, then shoot the bore (and holes) clean with brake cleaner or equivalent high-pressure spray cleaner. The valve should move noticeably smoother by time #20 than it did on time #1-3. Take the valve/bolt out, remove the valve, install the spring, then valve, then reassemble. Discard the TransGo bolt - you're done with it now."

This explains what the bolt is for I guess.

Yes it sounds like you have the right idea. The bolt trick is not always needed but is there for you just in case. Good luck with the install. Vince

Probably the only downside to the kit is the fact that the instructions are out of date. A known issue, which they seem reluctant to correct.

You have the latest valve here for the pwm. The rest of the instructions are pretty much the same, just don't grind on the manual valve, as it is not needed on 1996 & up units with the 2nd design manual valve. Leave out the spacers in the accumulator, as this will firm up part throttle only. When adjusting the band clearance, only use one gold spacer and make sure you can turn the driveshaft both ways, if not take it out. When calling TransGo at the 626 4437541 you have to let it ring for quite awhile sometimes as they answer calls in the order received. The same goes for me when I want to get a hold of them. Yes, they are slow about changing the directions, but if you have any questions here about this let me know as I have worked with them over the years.

Thanks for the info.
About drilling the spacer plate....
Should I drill the hole's the size the instruction's recommend?
Have you run into any problems with holes being too big/small?

Thanks for all the info Dana.
I think i'm going to get a new spacer plate, some of the checkball holes are enlarged and bubbled out.
