Default how to get tranny to hit harder on shifts?

my 4l60e has been rebuilt b4 i got it and they told me it has new clutches, sunshell, servos and shiftkit. how can i get it to hit harder when it shifts? my 1st to 2nd shift is nice and hard but 3 and 4th you cant even feel. i thought i had read that when you install the shift kit you can add additional washer for firmness? any help is appreciated

im not sure how to do it...but you can increase the pressure in the tranny...when i had my tranny rebuilt, the shop increased pressure and it shifts a lot harder and faster now...like i said i dont know how they did it or what does it...trannies arent my favorite thing to play with...i always loose 3rd

i bought the transgo shift kit and FLT servos and other parts. no complaints here on my shifting. 1-2 shift is harder than the 3-4 but i dont think you can make it into a 1-2 shift. I have also heard that putting more pressure on the lines is not a good idea. talk to FLT though

Default Harder shifts

When you rebuild a transmission and install a "Shift kit" there are options that the shift kit will give you . These are usually different feed hole sizes and spring selections . Some of these are not enough to make the differences that most of you guys are looking for !
There are also other modifications that the" Professional Transmission Rebuilers " use that are their "Trade Secrets" that make the difference in whether their transmissions hold up to the kind of power and driving that they will be subjected to .
That's why we get the "Big Buck$" for what we do (HA HA) .
Call one of the sponsers on this web sight an they can fix you up, of course I have my (ACE) personal preference (ACE). Give us a call !!!!!!!!!!!!!

disable torque managment, then go stage 2 transgo shift kit, still not happy? tweak the line pressures modestly.if you plan to bullet proof the whole box, theres a reputable trader on ebay who sells all the trick bits + explains the benefits of each one at very affordable prices if dyo is your thing.

Usually people don't go rebuild / hop up transmissions
until they've got a torque converter in it and the looser
converters don't "hit" as hard shifting (or rather, they
do not couple the jerk as hard to the chassis; the trans
gets it done but the converter lets it slide).

Aside from entertainment a hard banging shift does no
good thing.

A stock transmission can shift harder than you'd ever want with tuning. But then again parts will start breaking.
