Talking 2012 TT McLaren MP4-12C Road Test!

http://www.roadandtrack.com/tests/ca...claren-mp4-12c

Curb Weight in this test (Standard)= 3161 pounds

McLaren offers multiple weight-saving options that are capable of reducing the car's weight to approx. 2,868-2,945 pounds. They include "superlight" wheels, carbon sport seats (Recaros are standard), Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires, a carbon splitter and diffuser, a sport exhaust and carbon-ceramic brakes.

Midengine/ Rear Wheel Drive

7 Speed dual clutch automated with paddle shifters (only option available)

Twin Turbo 3.8L Port Injected v8 DOHC 32valve
592HP @ 7000rpm (Redline is 8500rpm)
443TQ @ 3000rpm
17.4 psi boost

Double wishbone front and rear suspension
Four wheel Independent Rear suspension

Dry sump oil system

0-60= 3.0
quarter mile= 10.9 @135
Top speed= 205mph
Braking 60-0 in 100ft

Tire size - Front 235/35/zr19 Rear 305/30/zr20

Price = 229,000

Wonder what the performance numbers would be with all the weight saving options

I LOVE this car. I always had a hard-on for the old F-1's, but this new car is just dead sexy.

"Does it come in black?"

Awesome performance(expected)... The price doesn't impress and honestly, I'm not all that crazy about the looks either.

I want to see the light version of this car run, 4.8lb/hp vs 5.3lb/hp for the one they ran!

That's an incredible car. It's just crazy how many uber high performance cars there are these days. I can't keep up w/ 'em all. Seems like every other week there's another one comming out.
