Actually I like the new tail lenses (one of the things I hated most about the original 5th gen's rear end). I'm just not crazy about the restyling of the rest of it.

I'm with you, unless it comes out to be they only make very few or they are super expensive. If the production and price falls in line with the ZL1, then it could definitely be a DD. I get the "I'd get a used Z06 for a track car" but if you're spending 40+k on a track only car, I don't think you're cross shopping a 4 seater, almost 2 ton, Camaro.
This car is meant for the streets with the occasional track day.

Saw this car today in person! It was quite stunning. The paint, wheels, and brakes really stood out for me. The interior was sick and just knowing the fact it had an LS7 put it above the ZL1 IMO. The only thing I didnt like was the front lip. It went with the black/white/CF theme but it was maybe 2' off the ground and I wouldnt be afraid to drive the damn car. More and more cars coming from the factory with matte finishes, I love it!

I've been reading the response to this car on another forum and there's a lot of concern regarding how much servicing the ceramic brakes is going to cost, especially if they produce a ton of these cars and the resale suffers. Anyone familiar with that?

Only thing I've ever heard about the carbon ceramic brakes was from a few ZR1 owners that complained that they could never seem to get rid of a vibration due to a manufacturing defect with the rotors, but it was covered under warranty. I've not heard of anyone that abused a set enough to have to do anything major with them.

So this car is 300lbs less than the zl1. Making it bout the same as an ss? And pushing 500hp not bad. Sounds bout like a low 12 second car. I read the ac is optiona if im correct. Is the radio/with speakers Also optional? I thought i read there wouldnt be a radio but im not sure. Can someone chime in on this please. Thankyou
