You showed me one magazine that rated the Silverado higher than the Tundra. It won due to little tid bits, not powertrain, engine, offroad, etc.....

I gave you the links.

So what you are saying is that you trust a biased magazine writer that accepts advertising dollars instead of the EPA- a government agency with no profit involved?

You are smart.

I showed you plenty. Motor Trend, Car and Driver, North American TOTY, on and on. You just choose to ignore what doesnt suit your opinion.

Edit- and before you go digging up more, dig up the old ones first.

What about the other problems that fellow Tundra owners have brought up? You keep avoiding those. Driveshafts, vibrations, torque converters, transmissions, all of those components arent as important?

Those problems have been addressed by Toyota. The torque converter was a handfull, the cam issue was 20 reported. This didnt stop 200,000 people from purchasing one did they? Where there not issues with the Silverado catching on fire?

No. There weren't any fireball Silverados to my knowledge. F-250's were shooting fireballs out their tailpipes, but not Chevy...

The point is, those problems shouldn't have happened in the first place.

I am not starting any ****. That video shows the Tundra getting stuck and the Chevy getting through. This is more than likely due to the tires and not the trucks off road capabilty. Same tires and I am willing to bet both would navigate it successfully. That test is supposed to show the trucks ability to keep the tires planted wich the Tundra actually did better. The engineers do a very similar test on the suspension. I like both of those trucks for different reasons.

Your precious Silverado did not win but one of those magazines.

Car&Driver rated the Tudra best in power, acceleration, towing etc...

MotorTrend gave the Tundra truck of the year!

Again, Ford and Dodge come in last in every comparison.

I also find it amazing that the F150 was rated at 9300lbs before the Tundra came out, but all of a sudden jumps to 11k with no modifications whatsoever

Check that again, and check the links I posted, C&D, MT, etc.

Aww, sucks to be the troll.

Tell me how you tow 14000 lbs every day again so I can drag up that post.

Actually that test is to display the superior diff assembly in the GM and has nothing to do with keeping the tires planted. That is why it is at the Eaton proving grounds since Eaton designed the G80 that GM uses. The Tundra got stuck because its limited slip is not as good as the G80.

The Ford has the better frame, driveline and suspension. It isnt all about HP. How can the Tundra tow anything when the trans, torque converter and driveshaft all fail?

He is probably talking about the 70's and 80's trucks that 20/20 or dateline got busted rigging the tests with explosive and pyrotechnics. Yeah, great example there buddy.

Go into the Texas Section and pose this question to the people I haul for. I have pics of me hauling valves that weigh 800-1000lbs a piece(x11), 250 44x44 pallets that weigh 45-50lbs a piece, etc....Lets see what you haul!

And the MT and C&D? The Tundra is right there.

Also, the Tundra did not win MT TOTY against the 1500 Silverado. They compared it to the HD and not in the arena the HD belongs in.

I also love the part they added at the end-

"(EDITOR'S NOTE: Testing, judging, and story for the February 2008 issue of Motor Trend were completed and printed before the latest safety recall involving 15,600 2007 Tundras to correct a potential driveshaft issue)"

Think that would have had an effect? They did mention the tailgates and camshafts though, shows how biased they are and how bad they wanted the Tundra to win.

Ohhh, too funny.
