Default Need some help with lq4

Well I bought me a 71 camaro bout 2 months ago and it had a pontiac 400 in it so I yanked that out, well I picked up an lq4 and I was wanting to go fuel injection but I think it'll be too much trouble and cost way more. My question is will I still need the ecm or computer to run a carb?
What intake would ya'll recommend? Also what carb too?
New to the forum, Thanks!

All these questions and many many more have been discussed at great length. As lame as this will sound, it is time to start searching and reading. First few things for you to learn about are the MSD 6010 and the Edelbrock retrofit parts.

So is the edelbrock 2908 kit on summit what I need? Plus a carb? What box would that be the 6010 or 6012?

sorry meant 24x. not 58x.
24x is the 6010 correct box you need

I bet the 67-69 headers for LS swap MIGHT actually work as well for the 71. Gonna be a bad *** ride.

Yeah its gonna be pretty sick, got to have some body work and still up in the air on paint with it. Maybe the new synergy green or satin black, two completely different directions I know haha
Might even leave the a/c on it, motor is coming with all the accesories and a trans.

meas you can make your own headers and exhaust system from diy kits.
since you can weld.
or maybe some turbo hotparts work good too

Does the 6010 box come with all the wires to hook it up or do I need to buy the extension harness? I'm seeing the box and extension harness seperate on summit so I'm just wondering so I'll be able to order everything at once.

Comes with everything, the extension harness is IF you want to mount the box further than the stock harness allows.

Has a nitrous retard, 2 step rev limiter and all built in.
