Default Quick cruise control question (DBW)

Hey guys,
I got all the cruise control lever wires hooked up correctly to the TAC module cruise wires and all is well there. I can monitor my inputs through EFILive and I am giving the TAC module all the right signals. The only thing I cant get right is the stop lamp sw. It shows up as applied in EFILive all the time no matter if the pedal is depressed or not.

What wire controls the stop lamp switch for the PCM or TAC module and what kind of signal does it need?

Thanks for lookin

Have you double-checked the brake switch? Make sure that the TCC brake wire has ign + on the other side of the brake switch when brake is not applied

Do you have a brake switch for two separate plugs. One part of the switch is for the brake lights, the other part is for the TCC part.

The wire that I have hooked up to the TCC is ign and N/C (it drops the 12 volts with brake depressed)

My TCC still locks up though...why would that still lock up if it thinks the brakes are applied all the time? OR is there separate wires from each modules (PCM and TAC) for different purposes?

It would be nice if someone would share a cruise control wiring diagram with a description and operation for a 05 chevy truck 6.0

I can`t remember what year harness/PCM you are using, but for a early 2000`s harness Pin 6 on the TAC module is the stop switch input. Let me know what year you have and I can double check the pin #.

The harness is out of a 2005 chevy 1500 5.3L 4L60E

Let me know what you find out..I've lost access to my ALLDATA otherwise I would have this sorted out by now

Well I just got owned. Autozone does not have the wiring diagrams on their site for the 2005 trucks (autozone has free repair guides/diagrams if you sign up which is also free). They just have the older trucks and f-cars. And my mitchell password has long stopped working

I checked the 2003 models and it lists pin 6 as the input too.

When you modded the harness, were there any unused wires on the TAC? and what pin/color were they?

No there wasn't anything left over. Did they maybe send the brake switch signal through serial data from the PCM to the TAC module? If that is the case I need to check out my TCC wire again.

Thanks for the diagram. Do you have a description and operation or the cruise control? The brake switch input on pin 6 of my TAC module is missing, but if I add a pin to it, what signal is it looking for? 12 volts when brake pedal applied or dropping 12 volts with it applied. I dont see why the pin is missing but thats besides the point now. Let me know, Thanks again.
