I figured somebody had probably already beaten me to it while I was posting my correction! I also have discovered the pushrod is already threaded while the rod end is not. Since the pushrod obviously won't thread into the rod end, after I cut the rod end to the correct length I will have to weld a 1/4"-28 nut on the end and use another nut as a jam.
Crossing my fingers!

Like you, I also had to cut and reform the pedal hanger bracket to clear the brake master pushrod rod end.
I read somewhere here about using foam pipe insulation. That seems to be the best way to seal it. I used 3/4" insulation. My initial ideas weren't worth a damn. The seal pokes a little through the hole but seems to fit and seal snugly.

Tick Performance did a heck of a job putting the short block together. Special thanks to Jonathan for his advice and assembly!!! Those guys really went above and beyond!
Thanks to Alvin Anderson from PCM4less for spec'n my cam and taking care of the PCM! He makes tuning look so simple. I watched for a second while he was making some adjustments and all I saw was a screen full of numbers and graphs. Maybe one day I will figure out what all that is. I doubt it!!

Thanks Gary! I doubt by Monday, I still have to order my head gaskets and a few miscellaneous items. I may try to pull the old engine out this weekend. I am sure once I get started on it there will be no stopping till its up and running. I would have skipped out of work today but I had to leave early yesterday to pick up the engine and have the PCM flashed.

Well I got the itch Saturday night to do a little to the Camaro. It took about 3 hours and this is what happened.

I dont know if it was the **** poor job I did to the passenger side valve cover baffle for clearance or is this normal, but there is quite a bit of oil that has made its way to the intake. I will most definately but a catch can! I did however buy an LS6 valley cover and will use a pcv in the line coming from it to slow the oil down a little. It may fix the problem. Time will tell. If not a catch can will be used in conjuction of the LS6 valley cover.

Well I stripped the oil pan, heads, oil pump, pick up tube, knock sensors, windage tray, lifter trays, cam sensor and crank sensor off of the 6.0. I put my old truck oil pan on the 6.0 to keep out any unwanted guests. The rear cover wasnt touched. The front cover had to come off to access the oil pump.

Heads are going to get a thorough cleaning before heading to the 408.

Taking my replacement front and rear covers to work tomorrow for a good cleaning and a glass beading. I hope to have the 408 ready for reinstall tomorrow or Tuesday.
