Auto Spring is the correct name for my spring shop. I talked to Clark about my situation with the rear of my car and he suggested two things. #1 take the JRS piece o'**** springs off and replace them with the brand he sells or #2 he can de-arch my existing springs. He suggested #2 since the springs I have now are actually 6 leafs and have had time to relax. He says he can get me right on the money with the de-arch and it will not affect the life of the springs. He said even with the new springs he sells there will be a break in period before I will know where they will end up on ride height. For $15 a side I will have the stance I require versus $170 and start from scratch. I am all about the de-arch at this point. Hopefully I can ****** them off tomorrow and run them up there to him to get them back by the weekend. Once the rear is at the specified ride height I can then focus on the front. I think with the rear dropped some the front will have a better look. Right now there is such a drastic difference between the front and back it really stands out.

I busted home today after picking up my daughter and timed myself on the removal of the leaf springs. I started at 3:35 and was done by 4:10. Springs are at the shop and will be done tomorrow. Hopefully this will take care of the rear section. Once the rears are where I want it I can focus up front. Hopefully the spring mod will mimic the addition of the weight but I am having doubts.

I think you'll be good. 35 minutes, eh? You'll have the racecar teams banging down your door. For me, captain caveman, I better book a weekend and a two four. That's canadian for 24 beers.

I am with ya on the 2-4!!! My daughter gets out of school at 3:00 but by the time you wait in the line with no end its 3:10 before your back on the road. On my way to her school I was already thinking what tools I needed so when I got home it was a matter of grab and go. The only manual tool I used was a 11/16" wrench for the rear shackle. The spring shop closes at 5:00 and it is a 30 minute drive there so I had a small window to work with. I would never make it in Nascar. They are not allowed to use duct tape and clothes hangers!!!

I put the de-arched springs on today and Clark is the man. Prior to the de-arch my ride height was 3-5/8" in the front and 27" in the rear. This made my car look a "Joe Dirt mobile". Here is a pic of the before.

I forgot to list the before and after ride heights:

Before: LF=23-3/8" RF=23-1/2"
LR=27" RR=27-1/8"

After: LF=23-1/2" RF=23-1/2"
LR=25" RR=25-1/8"

Thanks guys!!! The only issue I have with this stance is the headers are running low to the ground. If I had chosen to raise the front rather than lowering the rear it would have given me more ground clearance but I would rather have the lowered look. Shes gonna get a bath today, something I havent done in over a year.

The brains behind the car!!! My wife is a superb being! She doesn't say a word about me in the garage nor does she ask me where the money comes from.

The new stance looks great man! You made the right choice lowering the rear for sure.....the headers will get over it....

Stellar car Tsnow.

Whats next after several miles? big brake and rim package? Rear bumper guards, as i see you still have the holes for them. Let me know if your interested in a spare set of great quality OE bumper guards I have, aswell as any other smaller trim pieces n whatnots.

I appreciate it, and I agree on the headers. C6Matt said it best "they are self-clearancing". I do have a clearance issue at the quarters during a hard launch. I guess I will breakout the grinder. I would rather do the clearancing myself rather than let the tires "self-clearance".
