I have to ask with all the attention this thread has gotten you V12Baker,has any major company reached out to further assist you in this project? I find it hard pressed that nobody has offered to get their name as part of it to promote themselves in someway.

Very nice work,I think the v4 could be quite a hit if it makes power and cost effective.Id build a civic or integra with it just to rain on the 4 banger parade lol.You have given new meaning to LSX.

At least they didn't accidentally weld two back half of blocks together. Two flywheels, twice the fun!!

That thing should drop right into my car with very few mods. There's at least a foot of air space between the radiator and the current LS1 water pump. Two "pusher" fans, and I'm all good.

Just let me win the V12 lottery. Please? I only want one.

Fall back plan: I've got an extra LS1 laying around (a spare, in case I blow up VVVVV this one) So...

Just read the whole thread. Any ?s I had were already answered minus the "how much for one?" I'm pretty sure it's gonna be out of reach for me. :/ None the less I do have one comment.

Cool beans.

Can't wait to hear it run.

Oh, oh, wait, I do have one question. Was the V-12 suburban, mentioned earlier, at the 2007 SEMA show. I recall seeing a V-12 suburban at the show.

I am not sure it would fit in the GTM without major mods. My Daytona however is a different story. It would fit easily as I have plenty of room in front of my current LS. Very cool project!

That motor is amazing! Being a machinist/toolmaker I know how difficult it was to accurately match the pieces together. I definitely want to hear it run when the video is up.

Although my expertise as a mechanical engineer over the last 50 years is custom designed and built farm equipment here in Hawaii for sugar, pineapple, and a lot of other crops, I have always kept a small shop and done small projects that can only be labeled "hot rod" related. I am in absolute awe over this level of work! Obviously cast iron blocks could not be cut and pieced back together like this, heck, I've tried to repair cracked cast iron blocks, but with very limited success....

Aluminum alloys allow a whole new field, and the LS blocks just amaze me with what they are capable of....
Yes, I am definitely a subscriber of this thread, keep it going, and I wish you a huge amount of success....

I agree with the above folks; after reading the 19 pages of the thread every question I had has been asked and answered.

This is pretty awesome, you guys should be very proud!

Maybe one day you will do a 'how to' thread so some of us can try this in our garage. lolz jk

I think I have a video of it when we working on it on my face book site Christian LSX Nilsen. Ray is the best welding officer I have ever seen.
Checking up that video

What is a rough cost estimate for a long engine ?
I have a freind with a few Lamborghinis .One of his Miuras was burnt out many years ago and the top of the engine is basically melted . He has an idea that it would be cheaper to get it running again by adpating another V12 to the Miura trans ,which sits under the engine and has the diff under that. It all sits sideways in the car. Jag and Mercedes are out because of the size . He has a few BMW 750IL's laying about with a veiw to uing one of the engines but i think your LS 12 would be a better alternative,Push rods etc aside, the weight has to less than the BMW's ?
I know a LS1 is lighter than a BMW 4 banger .
