Project RIP IT- C-10
So all the rods got resized, turned crank, new rod/main bearings, new oil pump, and machine shop assembled. All back in and running since Sunday. Probably have about 100 miles on it so far and one race. Seems to be going good so far. Has 60psi at hot idle, 75 at cruise, and 100psi at WOT. Seems extreme, but ill take it over to little.

Did an oil catch can setup also, since i really don't have a pcv system, and i have a ton of oil pressure.
Keep at it, will be worth it in the long run. I have a 78 SWB C20 that I fitted an LS1, and 4L60E trans. Better than a small block setup IMHO.
Your truck looks good.
Ran 14.5/14.4s Not to bad. I think it has a 14.0/13.9 in it with more timing.
1st pass

2/3rd passes

4th

I did decide to throw on my tailgate, bodywork not quite done but close. Spray bombed for now.

Plastidipped my intake tube

Did some rewiring to eliminate possibility of interference and got rid of extension harness

Pic of giving a buddy a "ride" lol
The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
Made a second attempt at the track a month or so ago, hoping to see a 13.99 pass, couldn't pull it off. Best of 14.03 @ 101. 2.1 60fts. So I had a convertor built a few weeks ago, definitely woke it up down low. I was planning a trip to track next week with a drag radial, but gonna have to wait 2 weeks because and NHRA event bumped our Test & Tune night.
My research says my trap speed of a 101 should be good for a deep 13. So I really hoping the convertor and radial get me there. Been kicking around spraying 100 shot to get me in the 12s, Spent about 10-12 hours fabing a muliti-purpose nitrous/fire extinguisher/cup holder bracket out of round bar. Pretty proud of the end result.
I haven't bought a kit yet, but a buddy has everything I need for $500 (bottle/solenoids/purge/bottle heater) so probably try and get it soon and see if I can get in the 12's before track closes.
My vehicle ADD has got me again, added a 4th truck to my line up. 1989 C30 dually crew cab. 454/th400. Plans to hammer it, paint or plasti-dip it, and have a *****in cruiser/tow pig.

also diggin the paint on the dually. i'd add some flying fish or some surfers in there lol
I've been told it was a bad idea to mount it there (heat). But I wanted it as hidden and clean of an install as possible. But I've been driving it all summer in 90 degree weather with no issues. I also had to hack down the heat sinks to get it to fit back there so its even worse potential to have an over heat issue.
My winter plans are hopefully cam swap/headers. Dyno/retune. and be in 12's on motor and 11's with spray.
Dually I think will get plastidipped, since im lazy and don't want to prep and do a real paint or primer spray on that large of a truck lol
Longest burnout I've ever done. lol ENJOY!

You may need to go up to around 3400-3600 stall speed. The truck isn't light by any means. Keep in mind that when you start creeping up in your stall speed, your daily driver may not be so 'daily' anymore. Your mileage will suffer.
You can call the converter manufacturers and see what they recommend.
