Thumbs up to the work so far, thumbs down to waving around a pistol in a neighborhood. Don't ruin it for the rest of us

Haha as funny as that is, you are correct. Same materials I built the table from.

And did some more prep work for the cage. Im already sick of rust and sound deadening.

And after 5 years of ownership I finally figured out where my trunk was leaking from.

For a mini truck, it sure does the job. Got a stellar deal on DOM thanks to Ben (Aesthetic).

Put the rear diff in so I can actually lift the rear of the car up.

Tighter than Subaru's bearing tolerances

even though you are on your property im sure the police would consider this brandishing a firearm. and could either be a felony or misdemeanor. in this day in age all anybody needs is to say they saw someone waving a gun and you're screwed. and the correct terminology is magazine not clip.

Final pieces of the tunnel and floor have been removed. Drive shaft loop, transmission mount, front rails, and floor be connected by tubing to the main hoop cross bar.

Fought with the seat bases today. Broke my only spot weld bit, so I resorted to a normal 3/8" bit. Uncovered a bit of rust, but there's not a whole lot of floor left to rust.

No update on the car because I'm on school break for the week, but the case of my hubs has been resolved. FedEx denied all 3 claims, even after providing suffcient evidence that the box was packed correctly and the load rating of the box exceeded the weight of the items by over 20 pounds. All of this and they still wouldn't refund a mere $200 for hubs. That's the last time I'll be doing business through them. The seller was gracious enough to issue me a full refund for the parts.

Sorry to hear about FedEx man. I understand them not wanting to put out money for fraudulent claims, but looks like you and the seller went above and beyond what was needed. At least you got a refund.

Yeah thankfully we were able to work it out. I definitely understand fradulent claims, but after submitting 3 claims all with sufficient evidence, I really have no desire to do business with them any longer.

FWIW, I shipped a set of 35th anniversary Camaro wheels and tires from NY to CA through UPS, and somewhere along the way the box was slashed with a box cutter! Not sure how that could have happened, but they were able to give a partial refund for the tire that was destroyed. It was very easy for the whole claim process.

I don't have much first hand experience with FedEx, but it seems BS that they wouldn't work with you at all...

Spent the day tacking in the top base plates and bending the main hoop. Really happy with how it came out, having never done one before.

How are those plates supported? It kind of looks like it cantilevered off a lip. Are you planning to add a support to the front of that plate?

I'll box them in after I drop the cage through the floor to weld the roof bars.

Cool, didn't know if you were dropping it with how you opened the top. I didn't have to tack weld my plate like that when I did my plinth boxes.
