I'm soon to do a LSx/TH350 swap into a 73 Camaro. I don't and haven't used the kickdown cable for 10 years. My trans has been modified with a auto/manual shift kit that eliminated the cable. You should be able to do the same pretty easy.

I am using the factory cable from my 77 corvette and the bracket that came in the kit.

Of course for a fuel injected motor the bracket will be mounted several inches forward than a carbed setup. I would call B&M or Mr Gasket to see if the make an adjustable cable.

If you are going to try using a cruise control cable as a kickdown cable you will have to remove the cruise arm off the throttle body rotate it about 180 degrees and then weld it back on, or just add another arm going in the opposite direction of the cruise arm. The th350 kickdown cable gets pulled out as the throttle opens where as the cruise cable on a gen III motor gets pushed in as the trottle opens. Also you will need a adapter to extend the crank flange so the torque converter has someting to center on, you will also need longer flywheel to crank bolts and possibly a new flywheel. I was going to run a th350 on my swap but then I found a killer deal on a 4l60e.

this is mostly what G-BODY said, but i used a universal th-350 kickdown cable that i bought off of ebay($15), at max length it was perfect. i cut apart a sbc kickdown bracket and mounted it to one of the intake bolts. i cut the weld on the throttle lever and flipped it 180* , so it pulled rather than pushed and rewelded it. this was all with a truck intake, the cable fit under the fuel rails and was way cheaper than lokar's set-up.
